International students enrich and diversify the CUA community, and their valuable experiences help to create a stronger campus.
Studying abroad can be a transformative experience that allows students to develop not only academic skills, but also meaningful interpersonal interactions and multicultural insights. However, this unique experience can bring with it some unique stressors. For many international students, it can be difficult to adjust to a culture that has different expectations regarding friendships, interactions with professors, education, and other aspects of living. When an international student is far from home, these unique stressors, as well as the general challenges that students sometimes face with adjusting to new peers, foods, and environments, can feel overwhelming and stressful. At CUA, we are here to help international students adjust to our community and find their place in their new home. Support is always available.
